The view of the gorge from the trail.

The trails here are for tourist so they are about as easy as can be. At one point we saw Segways rolling through so believe me this is not mountaineering. I expected to see incredible views of the gorge and I do not think their was a single one. It is still an awesome place to visit so keep reading.

This is not the awesome part, but it was cool. The damn at the far end is not worth the drive but it is worth a 1/2 mile walk. It is not that impressive but you get a view looking down the gorge.

Now, here is what you have been waiting for…

The coolest swimming hole that I have ever been to. It sounds like not a big deal, but it is like water park fun, and it is free. First, it has a deep canal that runs about 8 feet deep. We could jump in, swim against the current and splash in some cool clean Vermont water. The canal spills out to an area where the younger kids could play in shallow pools or small river rapids. It was a load of fun.

The only warning I would make is that the entire area around the water is this jagged rocks that hurt you feed if you do not wear shoes. So make sure you have some kind of sandal on.

Check the Trailhead for other hikes in this area. Enjoy your trip!!!
