As I said above, access to the falls are right next to the road. The water has smoothed and cut through the rock creating a cool gorge. The falls area is long and it is hard to get a great whole view, but their are a lot of places to see it from so you will not miss anything.

Their is a nature trail connected with this, it is a short loop which we did not take. We spent some time playing around the water and then we went off to Mount Horrid and the Great Cliffs. The falls are cool and they are something worth seeing, but the problem is that everything in Vermont takes forever to get to. Two thoughts about when you should come is 1-The spring melt I would think would be an awesome event, tons of water is always a cool site, 2-if you are already nearby it is absolutely worth walking the 100 ft from the parking lot to see the falls.
